South Nags Head is the newest cool OBX destination due to its uncrowded beaches, and close proximity to Oregon Inlet and the Cape Hatteras National Park, a natural area forever protected from development.

6 miles of bike/pedestrian paths line each side of the beach road. While there are no restaurants, shops, or hotels in S. Nags Head, it's just a five minute drive to get to Nags Head and the many great merchants located there.
